The Daigoji Temple is the protector of more than 150,000 historical items, with 75,537 registered National Treasures, preciously safeguarded for the past 1,150 years.
Besides its immense work of preservation, it has been actively working towards displaying its contents to the younger generations as well as foreign tourists via its permanent exhibition.
As history is not only referring to the past, special collaborative exhibitions with contemporary artists are also held throughout the year.
